Professions (Race/Class Combinations)
Explorer Tradesman Warrior
Jenquai Jenquai Explorer (JE) Jenquai Seeker (JS) Jenquai Defender (JD)
Progen Progen Sentinel (PS) Progen Privateer (PP) Progen Warrior (PW)
Terran Terran Scout (TS) Terran Tradesman (TT) Terran Enforcer (TE)

The Progen Privateer (PP) is a Tradesman-class pilot within Earth and Beyond, but you wouldn't know it from their heavy outfit of weaponry and armor. The PP has more reactor power and weapon slots than the Terran Tradesman, while still retaining the ability to heal themselves and their allies making them exceptionally formidable. It can also install more powerful shields than the Jenquai Seeker, and thus may survive longer in heated battle. However, this is accomplished by giving up device level 9 capability and also the number of device slots, thus limiting the ability to both buff/debuff and resist incoming damage at the same time. Progen Privateers are also slower, due to the Progen preference for heavily-armored ships.

The Progen Privateer was originally planned, but never implemented when Earth & Beyond originally went Sunset Live in 2002. Users of the Earth & Beyond Emulator may now experience and enjoy playing this profession!

For a high-level summary see Profession#Progen Privateer.
