   Caution: Chavez missions have MAX faction limits so gains can prevent you from getting their earlier missions!

Summary

This page shows all missions issued by the Chavez Pirates; these are excellent for increasing your Chavez faction points.

The purpose of this walk-through is to:

Provide you the information needed to determine if it is 'worth it' to you to become a Chavez.

How to get Chavez Faction

Kill Red Dragon

Killing the Red Dragon pirates will raise Chavez (50%), Centuriata Warriors (50%), Collegia Traders (50%), and V'rix (100%) factions, but will lower your standing with The Alliance (50%), Psionics (50%), and of course The Red Dragon (100%). Also note that positive Red Dragon faction is necessary for access to the highly desirable Smuggler's Run system so this is probably not the route you want to take if you can avoid it.

Missions

Many of these missions have MAXIMUM faction limits such that once your Chavez faction goes above a certain threshold you are no longer eligible for the missions within that tier. These missions are also non forfeitable and cannot be picked up again if you decline the next step after a turn-in.

Faction Under 0 (<= -1 (minus 1 or lower))

If you have less than 0 (IE: -1 or lower) faction you can do these in any order until you have 0 or greater (at which point the remainder will no longer be available to you). You can pick all of these up before you complete any of them and then you may be able to turn them in after your faction has reached 0.

Chavez Resources (gives up to 3050 Chavez Faction at considerable cost)
Chavez Components (gives up to 1500 Chavez Faction)
Arm the Chavez (gives up to 1350 Chavez Faction)

Faction Over -1999 (>= -1999 (minus 1999 or higher))

Once you are done with turn-ins, the next missions start on the Chavez Capital Ship which requires >= -1999 Chavez Faction to dock. The ultimate goal from this point is to impress Miguel Chavez.

Firstly, you will need >= 1250 Chavez faction to talk to Eva the Bodyguard. If you meet the requirements, she will direct you to her boss Miguel.

The three Chavez Guards on the station will help you get the needed faction and put in a good word for you with the 'Boss'.

It doesn't matter how high your faction is at this point, you can skip all of the missions in the previous section, but everything from this point on must be completed (I had 5283 Chavez from killing Red Dragons and still had to complete these missions starting at Chavez Grunt Work, Miguel's dialog acts as though you don't have enough faction even if you do prior to completing the prerequisite mission).

A Collector's Dream
- This mission cannot be forfeited and locks you out of getting the Aquataine key (among other things) until completed.
- Gives 10,000+ Chavez Faction
- Collect Red Dragon figurines

Notes

At the end of Chavez: Traitors in our Ranks, Miguel asks you to continue support for Dr. Armenteros by visiting Silas Craven on Praetorium Mons to deliver the Full Data Cube. However, Praetorium Mons has been over-run by the V'rix. Apparently Silas escaped the invasion and has relocated to Eremites Outpost in Altair III.
