List of Faction Changes by Mob |

The Chavez were once a minor Terran house who were locked in an economic war with the Montague Family. The current family leader Miguel Chavez / Miguel Chavez - The Nagato Maru chose to go rogue and have become pirates. Now that they have subdued most of their blood feud enemies, they have set their sights on their new competitors, the Red Dragon pirates. The Chavez recently attained faction status but have no allies; thus, one doesn't need to worry about losing standing with other factions when shooting them.
Chavez ships are the source for obtaining the popular Ogun series of plasma Missile Launchers. They have also become a target for those wishing to improve their faction standing with the comparitively resource-rich Red Dragon (RD) faction, in order to be able to use RD star-gates and station facilities.
In recent years, the Chavez have acquired their own sector, Ceres/Thule, and have built or acquired several stations:
- Chavez Capital Ship in Ragnarok
- Eremites Outpost (no faction requirement) in Altair III
- Eris Base in Ceres/Thule
