• Crystals are one of the 6 different types of prospecting nodes.
• They are shown as "Crystalline Asteroid" in-game, but are shortened to Crystal across the wiki for convenience and to disambiguate from Rock and Glowing.
• They generally contain resources of type Gemstone or Optic Gem.

• ^*Crystals are by far the most difficult node type to accurately identify whether they're Pop "rocks" or not. Because of the normal translucence and overall uniform (i.e. untextured) color of Crystals, the methods used to alter the appearances of other types of nodes don't work as well here and they generally only appear to be darker/richer in color, and more opaque. The specular highlights are more pronounced (white spots) and you're more likely to see slight hints of other colors (though not always). This is similar to Gases and L9 nodes of all types which are often less obvious than at other levels.
