Overview
Once thoroughly Progen-controlled space, the security of Primus sector has been seriously compromised by regular V'rix incursions, and not least by their capture of Pr12t4r35m M4ns 1r21 (Pl1n2t Pr3m5s), formerly Praetorium Mons Area (Primus Planet). If you explore in this sector, be on the lookout for V'rix patrols. If you intend to visit the planet, be advised that the V'rix have a strong military presence there and such travel is extremely dangerous; your chances of survival will be improved (although not guaranteed) by having a JE in company who possesses the Group Cloak ability (the maximum level of the Cloak skill).
The central east-west nav-path of this sector is a well-used route between Tarsis and Endriago sectors, and all Progen pilots will need to visit the Tiberius Shipyards here, in order to complete their Progen Hull Upgrade Missions at OLs 10, 30, 50, 75, 100, and 135.

Mining notes
The fields in this zone are too numerous and overlapping to call out any specific field. The sector is literally covered in ore (see photo below). Each colored square in the photo below represents a single asteroid spawn. The Crystal asteroids along the main navs between the gates are Tech 1-3, while the crystal roids in the northern and southern hidden naves tend to be tech 7-9.
- Primus has an absurd about of Raw Topaz and Diridium Crystal. Around 1.5 stacks of each. Though you do have to compete with CL 50 Vrix to mine them.
- Very strong source of Raw Turquoise.
- Primus is probably the best source of Tantalum in the game.
- Strong deposits of Stygian Blacksand, Stygian Blackwater, and Leonite as well.
- Mining in Primus actually quite nice. The Ore types are limited enough that a JE can easily mine out all of the Tech 7-9 ores without needing a mule.
