Overview
The biological mobs of Varen's Girdle make this a prime location for farming. It also has excellent mining from L4 all the way up to L9. Varen's Girdle is also the source of many highly sought after drops such as:

Mining data
- The hidden field at 28,155 cannot be overstated. The mobs swarm you, can see a cloaked JE with 0.5 sig at over 4.5km, and have an extremely high respawn rate, to the point that if you cannot get a kill every 20 or so seconds, you will never get a chance to mine anything. That said, if you can keep the mobs busy, that field is incredibly rich. Unsure if this field has been changed or not but it is not that good. There are a few 9's but there are better fields with less hassle.
- Even limiting yourself to two kinds of roid (Rock and Hydrocarbon in my case) means a max-level JE will NOT have enough cargo space (30 slots) to mine through this sector without a mule as there are 35 types of ore between Rock and Hydrocarbon.
- Data still needs to be collected for Crystal Rock, Crystal, and gas clouds. Recommend focusing on one type at a time given the level spread present in VG.
- No single ore appears to be overly abundant here. It's more or less 'a bit of everything'. See the Discussion page for raw data.
