Overview
Access to Blackbeard's Wake (BBW) sector depends on your frienship with The Red Dragon (RD) pirates: your facton with them needs to be >= 2000 before the stargates will admit you. It is a crossroads sector which provides fast transit to far-flung parts of the galaxy. This reason is one anmongst many that enoucorages pilots who don't have the JE's Create Wormhole skill to improve their RD faction-standing.
BBW is a lucrative hunting ground for high-level pilots, and also the location for The Controller Raid.
