Agrippa

From Net 7 Portal Wiki

Agrippa is a restricted, proprietary technology that is jealously guarded by the Progen authorities, and supervised by their Collegia Traders faction. Primarily available only to Progen pilots, intensive training - which occurs in three defined Stages - allows the manufacture of a selection of superior ship equipment with highly desirable features. To reach the ability to build the highest (i.e. Level 9) items, a PW, a PS, and a PP will need to work together, as input is needed from each.

It requires patience, endurance, and an eye for detail. Progen pilots wishing to train in Agrippa should retain the Silver Tokens they are awarded when reaching OL50, 75, and 100. Graduates report that OL75 is a good time to commence your training.

Pilots are advised to start training young, as older pilots can experience difficulty attaining the ability to build items higher than Level 8. Note that once you obtain your OL135 hull upgrade, if you have not already done your Agrippa training you will have to use the Agrippa backdoor to reach the highest levels (and there are some bugs).

The tl;dr is that the awesome Agrippa weapons require mob loot (like dzurai skin) to build both the weapon and the ammo. In the case of the Effervo weapon, each round takes a Hull Mesh Laminate, which requires a few Tech 8 ores. The level 8 reactor is a star, it's absolutely amazing, as is the lvl 9 reactor. However, to build the reactor, you'll need to do the Agrippa weapon, shield, device, and components line. I am not kidding. Agrippa is all or nothing.

Overview

At a high level it will take all 3 Progen classes (Sentinel, Warrior, Privateer) in order to complete Agrippa, even if you only want a single specific thing like weapons. The reason why is because the builds are interlinked =>> Agrippa Walkthrough

For example, in Stage III (which require 8k Collegia faction to even start) :

  1. Every item requires a Stage III encryption to build.
  2. In order to get those you have to create Security Optimal Override Alpha (SOOA) and trade them to an NPC that only talks to Progen Sentinals because that trainer only does devices.
    • The PS will need both build shields and build devices, because the SOOAs are devices and they are non-tradable. Only the PS can build them, and in order to trade them to the PW/PP to build all stage I/II items with they must be wrapped up in a level 2 shield, then deconstructed by the PW/PP to use in the 'real' blueprints!
  3. Before the PS can build an SOOA, they need a Hull Mesh Laminate III from a PP who has done the build components line in stage I.

So, in summary, to start stage III, you need a PP to build a few PP only components, trade those to a PS, the PS makes a device and then you get a Stage III encryption. "Ah, so I don't need a PW after all!" Yea, actually, you do. In order to get to stage III you had to complete state II, and stage II requires testing of the level 8 device/reactor/shield/weapon by a PW before you can progress to getting Stage III encryption.

How to transfer Security Optimal Override Alpha (SOOA) between PS, PP, and PW.

How to transfer Security Optimal Override Alpha (SOOA) from PS to PP:

  1. PP must complete Agrippa Components Stage I (starting with Silver Token: Components for the Collegia) with lvl 5 Build Components to get blueprint for Hull Mesh Laminate III
  2. PP makes Hull Mesh Laminate III and gives to PS.
  3. PS must complete Agrippa Devices Stage I (starting with Silver Token: Custom Devices and lvl 5 build devices) to get blueprint for Security Optimal Override Alpha (SOOA)
  4. PS builds Security Optimal Override Alpha (SOOA)
  5. PS must complete Agrippa Shields Stage I (starting with Silver Token: Behind Strong Walls and lvl 5 Build Shields) to get blueprint for Amplector Omega Shield
  6. PS then creates Amplector Omega Shield and trades to PP.
  7. PP must complete Agrippa Shields Stage I (starting with Silver Token: Behind Strong Walls and lvl 5 Build Shields) to get blueprint for Amplector Omega Shield
  8. PP then can dismantle Amplector Omega Shield and now has the Security Optimal Override Alpha (SOOA).

To transfer to a PW for Agrippa Weapon Stage I:

  1. Complete steps above.
  2. PP must complete Agrippa Weapon Stage I (starting with Silver Token: A Call to Arms and lvl 5 build weapons) to get blueprint for Calathius Omega Beam
  3. PP builds Calathius Omega Beam and trades to PW.
  4. PW must complete Agrippa Weapon Stage I (starting with Silver Token: A Call to Arms and lvl 5 build weapons) to get blueprint for Calathius Omega Beam
  5. PW then can dismantle Calathius Omega Beam and now has the Security Optimal Override Alpha (SOOA).
  • WARNING: PPs ARE NOT ALLOWED TO MAKE PLASMA AND EXPLOSIVE FLECHETTE AMMO. DO NOT waste your time doing Agrippa Weapons on a PP past stage I. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Faction Requirements

Faction will only be an issue for PSs, because they start with such low Collegia faction and get so little from quests. The fastest ways to get faction are to turn in any Half-Eaten Progen Space Suits to Zieg or to do Collegia Traders jobs. The best place for Jobs appears to be 61 Cygni, as it maxes out at lvl 50, meaning CL 17 combat jobs. Additionally, all jobs are next door in Inverness. Regardless of your overall level, the jobs give 40 rep each and are relatively quick to complete. Combat missions are tied with Exploration (satellite deployment variant) missions for speed. 'Clear the field' missions give great XP, but are considerably slower. Do no take trade missions. You can also get Collegia Faction, and XP from completing the mission chain starting with Delivery Boy given by Deschide Poarta on Arx Emporos in [[Altair III]. At the end you get the repeatable mission First Rule of Acquisition from Deschide Poarta that gives 100 Collegia Faction, grind that.

It seems that the Collegia Traders do not like high V'rix faction and also give less part per trade when you have above 1k in InfinitiCorp traders faction.

Recommendations

NOTE: Only Progen can make stage L9 gear (Stage III). Terran and Jenquai cannot.

To use the least number of skill points, and complete all Agrippa builds, this is recommended:

  • Progen Privateer:
    • Max Build Reactors (Only class that can make L9 Ambush Omega
    • Max Build components (for Flechette ammo comps, and building test comp to record PWs testing)
    • L2 Build Shields (to get Security Optimal Override Alpha from a PS it must be traded in the shield and then ripped)
    • L2 Build Weapons (to get Security Optimal Override Alpha to a PW the Calathius Omega Beam must be made, traded to the PW, and ripped)
  • Progen Warrior:
    • Max Build Weapons (Only class that can make all 4x Flechette ammo types, PP can only make 2x)
    • A PW is required for the PP and PS to complete Stage II testing of their agrippa build skills (device, reactor, shield). The PW does NOT have to have completed ANY Agrippa missions to do this.

Please note that Agrippa training is a complicated and arduous path to follow, and the official NPC trainers do not have all the answers. You are strongly advised, grasshopper, to study all you can find here, and also engage with other pilots who have trodden the Agrippa path before you. If you stumble across arcane knowledge that is not present in the wiki, please add it in, to help others who will follow!
