Alexander von Humboldt in Margesi system on Margesi Station, Proxima Centauri has lost his Lucky coin. Help him retrieve it.
Steps
- Discover who stole Alexander's Coin.
- See Captain Ching Shih at (x: 94.13,y: 167.20) in Akeron's Gate (NE sector of map, right against the sector edge, you can see the ship from the gate to Freya)
- Defeat the Red Dragon Guards.
- There are two CL52 guards. NOTE: they are immune to ALL damage until the character with the mission does damage to them.
- Speak to Captain Ching Shih again.
- You get 25,000 credits and 250 Hyperia Explorers
- You get 5,000 Combat XP and Lucky
- Return the Lucky coin to Alexander von Humboldt.
- Find the rare Coin Collector.
- See Jassim Teranson (Trade Goods Vendor) at Prasad Station, Xipe Totec
- You get 6,000 Trade XP and Explore XP
- Travel to Paren Station, and find someone who can unlock its potential.
- See Ayako Ravenlock, in the main room
- You get 5,000 Explore XP
- Obtain the items Ravenlock needs to unlock the coin's potential: 2 Refined Gold Ore, 1 Water, 1 Novaclear Gemstone
- 2 Refined Gold Ore means 10 Gold Ore, refined into 2 Gold
- The tradegood Water can be bought at Friendship 7 Recreation Port and Ayako doesn't care if it's damaged from wormholes
- Novaclear Gemstone is created from refining 5 L9 Nova Dust (An exceptionally good place to mine this is the Derelict Nav Point in Fenris)
- You get 5,000 Trade XP
- Bring the Sealed Package to Alexander von Humboldt.
Bugs
It was originally believed that Device Tech 8 was required for this mission but multiple people have confirmed it was doable with Device Tech 7 so there probably isn't a Device Tech requirement at all. I was able to pick this up at OL 129 and Device Tech 7 so you can acquire this before you can actually use it which seems like a bug.
- Step 5 can sometimes be skipped by just quickly continuing the dialog with Alexander von Humboldt when it looks like he's going to repeat his original dialog at Step 4 and says "Have you seen it?! They took it! I must have it back!". Quickly respond "Slow down. Take a deep breath. Now tell me what you've lost." and rapidly click through selecting the top dialog option and sometimes it will just complete Steps 4 and 5.
