Cloaking abilities are used to mask the ship's presence, making it difficult or impossible for enemies to locate.
Cloak is a skill common to all Jenquai, and allows you to make your ship invisible to most enemies (Caution: a small number of mobs can see through cloaks!).
Only the Jenquai Explorer can attain the maximum skill level of 7, which allows you to cloak your whole group. Defenders and Seekers max out at level 5, and can only cloak themselves.
How to use
Simply hit the cloak button; there is no need to target your ship. At lower levels, you must be stationary in order to cloak, and if you move before the activation period completes, you will instantly de-cloak. Firing your weapons will also automatically de-cloak you, as will the activation of certain devices.
Effects
- Level 1 — When activated, completely hides the ship from sensor detection. the ship must be at a complete stop to cloak, and can only move at low speed while cloaked. Cloaking takes 7 seconds to initialize and uses 0.5 energy per second thereafter.
- Level 2 — Reduces the amount of time required to cloak to 6 seconds.
- Level 3 — Reduces the amount of time required to cloak to 5 seconds. Also allows the ship to move at full speed while cloaked. This ability drains 1.5 energy per second while active.
- Level 4 — Reduces the amount of time required to cloak to 4 seconds.
- Level 5 — Reduces the amount of time required to cloak to 3 seconds. Also eliminates the requirement for the ship to be motionless before cloaking, and doubles unmodified beam weapon base damage for 5 seconds after cloaking is disengaged (de-cloaking happens automatically when you fire your weapons). This ability consumes 3 energy per second while active.
- Level 6 — Cloaks the ship and creates a signature-reducing stealth field around all group members within 1000 units. Warp travel is allowed while cloaked. This ability drains 6 energy per second while active.
- Level 7 — Completely cloaks all group members within 1000 units. Warp travel is allowed while cloaked. This ability drains 10 energy per second while active.
Abilities
Level 1 — Cloak

- Cloaks the ship and creates a stealth field around all group members within 1000 units. Warp travel is allowed while cloaked. This ability drains 6 energy per second while active.
Level 7 — Group Cloak
- Completely cloaks all group members within 1000 units. Warp travel is allowed while cloaked. This ability drains 10 energy per second while active.
