Visit Ioanna-J Deinon in Porvenir Mons, Endriago, Gallina and see how you can help her.
Steps
- Obtain 2 Crates of Nanobots from Havyair Amen-Tol in Arx Ymir, Jotunheim Sector
- Ioanna-J Deinon is in the Lounge at Porvenir Mons base (lower-level, near the ramp at 9 o'clock).
- Havyair is on the Main Deck, just to the right of the entry door.
- Find the wrecked transport about 3 K North West of Vali in Odin Rex and investigate what happened to it.
- Havyair will inform you the expected freighter carrying the nano-bots has been reported wrecked, and will ask you to investigate its fate.
- Speak with the "Wrecked Freighter - Progen"
- The folk on the vessel appear to be opposed to official progen genomic goals, fearing contamination of the Progen race. Select "Tell me more", when asked.
- Return to Havyair Amen-Tol in Arx Ymir about the fate of the transport.
- Havyair will try to wriggle out of giving you the nano-bot crates, but press him.
- If you don't have two cargo slots free, Havyair will tell you to clear some space and return to him when done.
- Take the 2x Crates of Nanobots to Ioanna-J Deinon in Porvenir Mons, Endriago, Gallina then discover what she wants next.
- If you took a wormhole to get back, she will notice the crate contents have lost some of their quality, but will still accept them.
- Give a Grek Cortex (New Edinburgh) to Sturmer (Traders Fort) for processing.
- You can save some time by acquiring the items for steps 5-7 before going to Trader's Fort.
- Sturmer is located in the Lounge immediately to the right inside the door.
- Give a Mist Cortex (Freya), to Sturmer (Traders Fort) for processing.
- Give a Shakaku Cortex (surface of Planet Dahin) to Sturmer (Traders Fort) for processing.
- Take Sturmer's Genetic Sample to Ioanna-J Deinon
- Warn Markus Khan (sic) in Arx Tiberius about the mysterious ships.
- Let Ioanna-J Deinon know of Markus Khan's plan.
- Go to the Mutation Laboratory in Asteroid Belt Gamma and confront the Merus Milia. Kill some Merus Milia Fighters first
- The Mutation Laboratory is next to Detention Center Onorom at the Mutation Viability Field Lab nav.
- A little to the SW you will find swarms of Merus Milia ships.
- Kill six CL8 Merus Milia Fighters. They use Energy weapons.
- Exert your authority. Make them pay - terminate with extreme force 6 Merus Milia Bombers.
- The Merus Milia Bombers are CL10.
- Punish the Merus Milia Captain by making sure his genemap will never be found. Exterminate him. The Mutation Viability Field Lab offers a facility to find him.
- Dispatch the CL16 Merus Milia Captain. He flies about 20k SW of Onorom Detention Center.
- I think the note that "the Mutation Viability Field Lab offers a facility to find him" is a red herring; he just spawns right by where you kill the bombers.
- Obtain the Suboptimal Gene-Map for Ioanna-J Deinon from Warden Orphant. Make sure you have a slot available.
- Take the Suboptimal Gene-Map back to Ioanna-J Deinon (Porvenir Mons) for your reward.
Notes
- This optional mission is an offshoot from Stage 3/13 of the Progen Hull Upgrade Missions path at OL30 for each class. This optional mission unlocks once you have attained OL30, and ceases to be available after you do your OL50 hull upgrade (but you can still complete it later as long as you pick it up and keep it in your mission log after your OL50 hull upgrade). There is a lot of traveling involved, so it's easier if you have the help of a friendly JE.
