ITEM-OTHER
A category to group all pages related to Earth and Beyond items which are useful, but do not fit into an equippable ship slot, manufacturing terminal, or other 'slot' and which are not needed like a component to manufacture something.

There is nothing in-game, nor in the Net-7 DB, listed as an "Item": but there are lots of things of varied purpose which are listed as "Other". Some of those are used to manufacture things (they act like a Component, regardless of type), and others are more Device-like in nature (although they're not equippable). The approach taken in the wiki to reduce the ambiguity of the "Other" category is to categorize items as:

• Category:Component-Other - things coded as item_type=component, component_type=other, which can be used to manufacture something; and
• Category:Item-Other - things coded as item_type=other, Other items which cannot be used to manufacture something.
• Category:Item-No known use - things coded as item_type=junk or item_type=no known use, Other items which have no known use at all.
