Using Energy Leech you can drain foes' energy to prevent them from using skills and firing weapons.
Note: The Energy Leech skill can also be obtained immediately on starting a new character, before even leaving the JD starting location.
Steps
- Travel to Outpost San in Swooping Eagle (Sirius System).
- Use Energy Leech on the Patience Drone repeatedly to keep it from using Recharge Shields
- The Patience Drone is a CL4 mob.
- Slay the Patience Drone
- Return to Master Jhola on Yasuragi (Swooping Eagle Planet, Sirius System)
Notes
- This is a really weird mission. It looks like a skill-acquisition mission, but JDs get the skill by default. Not sure why this mission is offered.
- Confirmed 4Feb2022: The Energy Leech skill is given to new JDs by Ten'Shao Anala, who can be found in the hangar of Ashanti Maru, in Europa (the JD starting-sector). Instructor Anala asks you a series of questions, and you are given the skill immediately, as well as the long-term mission "Path of Dark and Brightness" (this is your mission for hull upgrades and it will stay open until you upgrade your hull on reaching OL135).
- If two JDs take this mission at the same time, only one mission-mob will spawn. Both JDs will have to use Energy Leech on it, for the 2nd JD to advance the mission. Otherwise the 2nd JD will have to Forfeit the mission and take it again.
