The CE-X4 "Breton" Mk. IV may also be purchased at Kinshasa-Mbali, Trader's Fort, Inverness Down, and Somerled Station.

Buffs:
No buffs, but Breton engines are among the fastest available for non-Terrans to use. The L4 Dragonflight Copper engine has the same speed but also has a shield-recharge buff; however, it is harder to obtain than the Breton.

The Breton range of engines is manufactured at a variety of levels:

• L2 CE-X4 "Breton" Mk. II
• L2 V'rix Modified Breton (all stats identical to the standard L2, but this version is not upgradable)
• L3 CE-X4 "Breton" Mk. III
• L4 CE-X4 "Breton" Mk. IV (upgrade: L3 Breton + L4 Nebula PowerCon)
