Learn how to make solar energy beneficial to you from Zack.
IMPORTANT
- It is HIGHLY recommended to use a Trader class (TT, JS, PP) for this mission Solar Energy for the Layman so you wont have to pay the extra credits/spend the extra time doing Achy-Breaky Mission Fix.
Steps
- Build your own Deep Cycle Battery. Return to Zack when finished.
- you get blueprints for a Deep Cycle Battery and Battery Element (NOTE: The Negative and Positive Plates are a refined resource that an explorer has to refine)
- if you can't build them, see Mark Cyrus in OMP and do Achy-Breaky Mission Fix
- Bring Zach 3 samples of Silicon
- Bring Purified Solar Silicon, 6 B-Silicon, 6 P-Silicon
- You will need: 12 Boron, 12 Phosphorous, 37 Rainbow Silicon (Or 185 Charon's Dust), 148 Nebular Silicon (Or 740 Andromesite)
- Next you'll need to produce some Anti-Reflective Coating to use on your solar cell project. Bring a sample of your work to Zachariah
- Non-component builders need to continue, with step 2 of Achy-Breaky Mission Fix
- Make Zach three Solar Cell (Net-7 link)
- If you are not a component builder, you need to bring Mark Cyrus the materials for them
- You will need: 15 Roller Press, 60 Copper (or 300 Copper Ore), 12 Astral Glass (60 Astralite) and 3 Transparent steel (15 Raw Star Ore) and the items from step 2 and 3
- Build 2 Contact Grids for use in your final project and then show Zachariah your progress.
- You will need: 6 Roller Press, 24 Copper, 2x Cyclo 50gHz Modulator
- For you final project, build your own solar panel. Return to Zachariah to celebrate.
- At least you get to keep what you built, this time.
- Non-comp builders have to visit Mark, one more time.
Notes
OL >= 135. Minimum skill requirements would be useful to ascertain whether a trip to Endriago to purchase a biostruct is necessary.
