Overview

- Visually these terminals appear to have no function, but it turns out they have some secret functionality!
- In the current emulator they are part of the implementation of the Item Mail (NTA) / Item Claim (NTA) service, with the other part implemented via the Net-7 website, see the sections below for details.
- NTA stands for "Net Trap Application"
- In Sunset Live these terminals provided access to Net-7 news (the in-game "news" entity, not the group that maintains the emulator, see Net-7) and the Earth & Beyond web portal including payment and customer support services, etc.
- See the Station List at http://enbmaps.de/index.php?stationlist to locate a station that has one of these Intergalactic Net terminals.
Sending Item Mail
In order to send an item to another player (with an optional fee, i.e. cash on delivery (COD)):
- Navigate in-game with the character that has the item you want to send in their cargo to one of these Intergalactic Net terminals.
- Interact with the terminal and you will see a mostly blank white screen with an HTTP 404 error (this is expected).
- Now in a web-browser navigate to https://www.net-7.org/#apanel/ and select the character with the item who is sitting at the terminal from the list on the left-hand side (you will have to login if you weren't already)
- Select the "Inventory" tab for that character
- Select the "Cargo hold" tab for that character (you can not mail items from the "Vault")
- Right-click on the item which you wish to mail and select "Mail Item"
- Enter the following information:
- The message to include in the mail (if you want to change the pre-populated one, you can leave it as-is)
- The number of credits to charge for the COD (you can leave it as 0 to send the item free-of-charge)
- The name of the recipient character (this is their name exactly as shown in-game)
- Click Lookup Receiver (even if you entered the name exactly) and it will pop-up a list with any matches; you must click the name in this list even if there is only one, then close the dialog, otherwise you will get an error like "invalid item [receiver]!" even if the name is entered exactly. The Lookup Receiver dialog must be opened and clicked.
- Click Send Item
- Amazing!

- Now in a web-browser navigate to https://www.net-7.org/#apanel/ and select the character which received mail who is sitting at the terminal from the list on the left-hand side (you will have to login if you weren't already)
- Select the "Item Claim (NTA)" tab
