Bio-Hunters are CL33 ships which spawn in groups of 3 or 4, at the Kassina Reward navpoint in the far south of Akeron's Gate. They are aggressive and the entire spawn group will attack on sight. They drop the following items:

- PL-X3 Chemical Rounds (used by L7 PL-X3 "Dirk" Mk. VI projectile launchers)
- PL-X3 Impact Rounds (used by L7 PL-X3 "Dirk" Mk. VI projectile launchers)
- PL-X3 Plasma Rounds (used by L7 PL-X3 "Dirk" Mk. VI projectile launchers)
- L4 Vapourous Blood
- L4 Mangled Jenquai Heads (a component needed to build the L4 Navigation Computer device).
- L5 Fleshy Goo
- L5 Nebula SX Quad Processor
