Thanks for the contribution and trying to add this image! I was confused when I saw it because there was already a :File:Pop-Hulk-L9.jpg, but, like you I'm sure, when I went to Hulk, it wasn't showing up. I looked into it and found that page was hitting a Mediawiki error "Pages with too many expensive parser function calls" tied to the #ifexist function it was using to only show the pop-hulk images if they existed. Incidentally, even if that hadn't been happening, it wasn't going to find the image you uploaded because it's looking specifically for the name "File:Pop-Hulk-L9.jpg" (including the .jpg); it looks like you got very close though after renaming it to :File:Pop-Hulk-L9.png"! I've actually made templates in other places that handle both .jpg and .png (and even .JPG, .PNG, etc.) but that involves even more "expensive parser function calls".

to both eliminate that error, and give a more clear indication for contributors on how to add a missing image via a red link to the appropriate page. In hindsight I obviously shouldn't have used ifexist in the first place here as in addition to causing that error and missing image, it also made it harder and less obvious for you to contribute!

Ah, so that's why it wasn't working! I was wondering what was up, and only realized my mistake after uploading an image that I couldn't delete because it was the wrong filetype. Thanks for fixing it! Fioraaeterna (talk) 19:36, 10 March 2024 (UTC)
