NPC Template

Hi. I fixed the circular dependency on Template:NPC infobox. What did you want to do with that? You might want to look at Template:MissionDesc for how to finish your template. I think I know what you are trying to do, but...not enough to do it for you.

I was trying to make it so our NPC entries could look something like the ones at http://wiki.guildwars.com/ which are very well laid out. Sadly I am not that good at wiki coding. Riz (talk) 13:56, 29 October 2013 (UTC)

Oh. Ok then. Why not just copy paste...*does this for you* Ok. The infobox template is now an exact duplicate of what they have on Guildwars. You'll need to go in and modify it to be what you wanted / fix the documentation, but if you make a mistake, you should be able to roll your change back. Kingdud (talk) 21:21, 29 October 2013 (UTC)

I tried that, but since I am not fully conversant in wiki coding I think I missed something important. Riz (talk) 20:33, 30 October 2013 (UTC)

I think I got it. Joinilec Vertize <--Go there to see if you like. That page already existed, I just converted it. I added back in the "Services" column, and also give an example of how to link to a category (services would, in my mind, generally link to the category, but that isn't required by any means). As for "why?" did it not work? You didn't have a closing statement |} in your table, so I think that was confusing mediawiki.Kingdud (talk) 10:59, 1 November 2013 (UTC)

Perfect! Now we can have a standardized entry for NPCs, and with a little tweaking stations, etc. Riz (talk) 00:59, 4 November 2013 (UTC)

Smaller pictures

FYI, if you want to make a thumbnail of an existing image, the wiki can do that on its own. Instead of [[File:User Riz.png]] put in [[File:User Riz.png|100px]] to ensure the picture is only 100 pixels wide. Character Class Pages

I noticed that you had started pages for some of the character classes. Could we maybe use the full names instead, like "Progen Warrior" and "Terran Trader"? I'm worried that there may be confusion between the class (Progen) Warrior, and the set of Warrior classes (PW,JD & TE). (Also, I'm lazy and I don't want to go back and fix all the links in the missions, which use the full names...) JoeTheDestroyer (talk) 22:12, 8 November 2013 (UTC)

Yea...I went ahead and moved them to full names. I also gave them actual content. In the future, please do not create a page unless you have something useful to say on it. The page for the Terran Tradesman is a good example of minimum content. I'm not mad, this isn't a mark against you Riz. Just, moar content for the content throne! Kingdud (talk) 00:30, 9 November 2013 (UTC)

The content aspect was something I was figuring would get added later, for now it was just to "un break" the links. As for the class names +race, I was going off the original Westwood idea that the class names did not include the race, but whichever way works, works. Riz (talk) 15:48, 9 November 2013 (UTC)
