Power Down abilities are used to fool enemies by making the ship appear incapacitated, often causing enemies to break off attacks.
When activated, enemies will not initiate an attack or, if you are in combat, they will stop attacking you.
How to use
Disengage your engine and press the button! Make sure you don't still have your Repulsor Field active, or mobs may continue to attack due to the reflected damage from any of their last shots still in the air after you activated Power Down.
Effects
- Instant activation with 3 second cooldown.
- Mobs cannot target powered down ships.
- Engine must be off to activate. Can turn in place.
- Continuously active, must be manually ended.
- Activating Warp, Items or Weapons ends skill.
- Shield & Reactor recharge adjustments are additive with other percentage based recharge buffs, they do not prevent recharge.
- Listed Range irrelevant (I think this means that a Tier 1 Power Down has as much chance of working as any other, so don't waste your skill points)
Abilities
Level 1 — Power Down
- Attempts to convince enemies that the ship has become incapacitated. If successful, enemies will usually stop attacking.
- Energy cost: 35
- Shield Recharge: 0%.
- Reactor Recharge: 0%.
Level 3 — Advanced Power Down
- Allows shields to slowly regenerate while power down is active.
- Energy cost: 75
- Shield Recharge: 50%.
- Reactor Recharge: 0%.
Level 5 — Advanced Power Down 2
- Allows reactor and shields to slowly regenerate while power down is active.
- Energy cost: 150
- Shield Recharge: 50%.
- Reactor Recharge: 50%.
Level 6 — Advanced Power Down 3
- Allows shields to regenerate at the normal rate and the reactor to regenerate slowly while power down is active.
- Energy cost: 300
- Recharge normal.
- Reactor Recharge: 50%.
Level 7 — Advanced Power Down 4
- Allows shields and reactor to regenerate at the normal rate while power down is active.
- Energy cost: 600
- Shield & Reactor Recharge normally
