Generally Trade Goods are shown with a green item header in-game, but this is not always the case. Though any item marked as a Trade Good (regardless of header color) will not be tradable or storable (even though they may not say so on the item itself.

As an example, the item Yum-O-Rum has a brown header, but in the first image below you can see on the left in the inventory that it is stacked to 2 due to the effect of The Polar Express which only applies to Trade Goods. Likewise in the second image you can see that it would not allow me to store it in my vault and explicitly said it was a trade item. All told this makes it very difficult to categorize items!
