MISSION
Trouble with this mission? Try Mission Troubleshooting

Mission giver Annia Severa
Mission requirements
Mission reward Call Forward skill

You have been selected from many Sabine in order to train in the Call Forward Skill.

Steps

  1. Go and visit the Essence Research Laboratory (Arduinne Planet), in order to help us improve the Progen Gene.
    • Annia Severa will speak to you through the Essence Research Lab nav to complete this mission.
    • For this step you must talk to the Essence Research Lab a second time, for reasons.
    • After this dialog you will receive a L2 Filthy Beaker.
  2. Clean the Filthy Beaker, using Sulfur and Chromium ore to create Acid and then using the Acid with the beaker.
  3. Return to Essence Research Laboratory (Arduinne Planet) with the Pristine Beaker.
    • Prepare a Radiated Petri Dish, using Minosium (Refined Minosium Ore) and a Sterile Petri Dish. Calliope Gans on Arx Spartoi keeps the components in stock, so I've heard.
      • You must use a Refining Terminal again to complete this step.
    • Return to Arduinne Planet, and take the Radiated Petri Dish to Annia Severa.
      • You keep the L1 Radiated Petri Dish, you'll need it later.
    • Create a Vegetative Propagation Experiment. You'll need Nutrient Gel, a Radiated Beaker, and 2 Vacuum Stalk Roots.
      • You must use a Refining Terminal again three separate times to complete this step.
      • L2 Radiated Beaker is made from L2 Sterile Beaker (see #Vendor) and L8 Minosium (see #Rip)
      • L5 Nutrient Gel is made from 2x L1 Nitrogen and 3x L9 Grail Water (see #Mine)
      • L5 Vegetative Propagation Experiment is made from 2x L1 Vacuum Stalk Root (see #Hunt), L2 Radiated Beaker, and L5 Nutrient Gel
    • Return to Arduinne Planet, and show your Vegetative Propagation Experiment to Annia Severai(sic).
      • Visit Caius Baro in Valkyrie Twins to learn how to create a genetic recepticle(sic) for your chosen genetic material.
        • He is at nav point Remote Minefield
      • Obtain 3 Ouraboros(sic) Eggs from Ouraboros(sic) Worms and return to Caius Baro in the Valkyrie Twins sector.
      • Manufacture a Storm Gull Cloning Kit (Irradiated(sic) Reagent Bottle, Gull Wing, and Dry Ice for the specimen, then combine with the Radiated Petri Dish, Plasma Convert Max, Sunburst Fusion Core, and Enucleated Egg), then bring this to Annia Severa on the Essence Research Laboratory (Arduinne Planet).
      • Go to Drusus Bellator at the Mutation Viability Field Lab. (Near Detention Center Onorum(sic), Asteroid Belt Gamma).
        • He's not near the lab. He *is* the lab.
      • Manufacture the Viable Mutation Strain 1A (Chem Stim, Radiated Graduated Cylinder, Ziosium, Radiated Test Tube, Juuona(sic) Brain, and Scuttle Wing), and return to the Mutation Viability Field Lab in Asteroid Belt Gamma.
        • Despite the use of the word Manufacture in the step text, you must use a Refining Terminal again three separate times to complete this step. Detention Center Onorom does NOT contain a Refining Terminal so do not dock there!
        • L4 Chem Stim is made from L3 Fluorine, L1 Potassium, and L2 Bromine.
        • L4 Radiated Graduated Cylinder is made from L4 Sterile Graduated Cylinder and L8 Minosium (see #Rip)
        • L1 Radiated Test Tube is made from L1 Sterile Test Tube and L8 Minosium (see #Rip)
        • L7 Viable Mutation Strain 1A is made with L4 Chem Stim, L4 Radiated Graduated Cylinder, L9 Ziosium (see #Mine), L1 Radiated Test Tube, L2 Juuona Brain, and L2 Scuttle Wing (see #Hunt for these) (requires L6 Prospect).
      • Take the Interpolative Gene Remapping Apparatus (Electro D4 Superinducer, Quark Quantum Brain 360, and Nova Armored Vault) back to Annia Severa as proof of your skills in genetic research.

      Notes

      • For speedier travel on this convoluted mission, it is highly recommended to team up with a JE pilot who possesses access to all wormholes. A JD who can Return Friend is also a big time-saver going back and forth between Arduinne Gas Cloud and Inverness Down station on Planet Inverness.
      • You can start this mission with any level of Prospect skill
      • You can make it through the lower steps without it by having someone else refine the tradable components
      • However, by Step 6 you will require L5 Prospect, and by Step 12 you will need L6 Prospect to progress due to Not Tradable items you must refine

      Shopping List

      Mine

These ores cannot be ripped easily and will most likely have to be mined.

      Rip

If you plan to rip these rather than mining for them they are already included in the #Vendor Bought list below but are listed here for reference with all the various ways of getting them.

      Hunt

      Vendor

There are multiple places to buy most of these things, the stations listed are for proximity to Wormholes. Be careful to keep the comps which need to be ripped for ores/refined separate from those which are needed as-is. Also make sure and buy extras of any comps you need to analyze and for spares in case you lose things from dismantles.

      Bugs

The name of this mission is misspelled as Wierd(sic) Science [Version 2.0.S] in-game.
Step 2 of the mission text says Chromium ore, but refined Chromium is required for this step.
Step 7 of the mission text misspells Annia Severa's name as Annia Severai.
Step 8 of the mission text misspells receptacle as recepticle.
Step 8 dialog with Caius Baro and Step 9 mission text contains repeated misspelled references to Ouroboros Worms as Ouraboros (Prima's Official Strategy Guide confirms Ouroboros is correct, as you would expect for the mythological creature of the same name).
Step 11 dialog with Drusus Bellator/Mutation Viability Field Lab contains Ziosium misspelled as Zoisium.
Step 11 dialog with Drusus Bellator/Mutation Viability Field Lab contains Bromine listed incorrectly as Bromide.
Step 12 of the mission text uses the word Manufacture when Refine would be more appropriate.
